Pufferpalooza - Folly Cove, Gloucester, MA

Dive #343 & 344: It's not uncommon to see northern puffers on a night dive, but you would typically only see 3 or 4 and rarely more than 1 at the same time. The local dive community was abuzz with excitement over a never-before-seen aggregation of hundreds of them. We started with an evening dive along the west wall and got a small taste of what would await us on the second dive. Once the light faded, the site was absolutely covered with puffers. Some were skittish, but most were curious or indifferent to us. It was mesmerizing swimming along with the school and watching them move around in the sand.
