Dive #448: After several days of extreme cold and some rough seas, we had an opening so we took it. Air temps were in the 40s and seas were calm in every direction. Old Garden was flat as could be, so we geared up, climbed over the rocks (grr, come back sand!), and wandered into the water. This was the first dive with my Kraken 1000 snoot, so I was excited to get out to the rock reef and find some nudis to light up. The snoot is definitely tricky, but I did manage to get a couple decent shots of a rim-backed nudi and some bostoniensis nudis. Paula even found an orange-tip cuthona, but I didn't even realize that's what it was until I got home. As we swam back, the sun was out and the shallow sand was all sparkly rainbows. Visibility was easily 20+, which made for a nice, relaxing dive.
