Folly Cove - Gloucester, MA

Dive #348 & 349: With the sand still in, low tide was totally doable at Folly. We headed over to the west wall and cruised out past anemone overhang. I had specific directions to find the northern red anemone, so I found it for the first time in probably 25 dives on the west wall. It was closed up and wouldn't open even for a tasty green urchin so we continued out. A little while later, I spotted a torpedo ray hanging out in the sand just off the wall. This was Folly torpedo sighting number two for me! We turned back and stopped by the northern red to see if it had opened up since our last pass and it had! As I arrived, a lobster emerged and snagged the urchin I had offered on the first pass, so I grabbed another and watched the anemone pull it in. Dive number two was along the east side. Spotted some of the normal suspects along with yet another torpedo ray! This was Folly torpedo sighting number three and third in four dives. Crazy!
