This dive had EVERYTHING! We started swimming out and I found a tiny octopus less than 15 minutes into the dive! The first one was pretty small and had built itself a house of shells next to a rock. It was mostly eyeing us cautiously, but not really hiding - just watching. At one point, it wandered out for a moment, possibly to grab a snack before retreating back to its comfy fort. AWESOME. Maybe 10 minutes later, I nearly ran face first into another octopus that was out wandering around on a rock. It seemed content to continue hunting for a minute before hunkering down to wait us out. Asli offered it a finger, but it bolted toward me instead. After a very brief swim, it settled down onto the sand for me to snap a few lovely shots and then built itself a shell fort. On we went! We saw several box crabs, lots of sea robins of various sizes, lots of coronetfish, a couple lizardfish, probably 5 filefish, a tiny butterflyfish on the wall, two shy mantis shrimp, a couple Thecacera pennigera (Asli pointed them out to me - I certainly couldn't find any), a big skate, a couple random squid, and a large scup in the shallow rocks. Viz was pretty terrible, but it didn't matter even slightly. This was a fantastic dive.
